How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Hisab Journey account directly from the app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Hisab Journey app and log in to your account
  2. Navigate to Settings (tap the settings icon in the navigation)
  3. Go to the Profile tab
  4. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  5. Enter your password to confirm your identity
  6. Type DELETE to confirm the action
  7. Tap the "Delete Account" button to permanently delete your account

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed from our servers:

  • Personal Information: Your name, email address, and profile picture
  • Financial Data: All transactions (income, expenses, transfers)
  • Accounts: All bank/wallet accounts you created
  • Categories: All custom categories you created
  • Budgets: All budget configurations and history
  • Recurring Transactions: All recurring transaction templates
  • Attachments: All uploaded receipts and documents
  • Settings: All your app preferences and configurations

This action is irreversible. Once your account is deleted, all your data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Data Retention Period

Upon account deletion:

  • Your data will be removed immediately from our active systems
  • Backup copies may take up to 30 days to be fully purged
  • We may retain anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you for analytics purposes

Active Subscription

If you have an active subscription:

  • Your subscription will be cancelled automatically upon account deletion
  • You will not receive a refund for any remaining subscription period
  • We recommend cancelling your subscription before deleting your account if you want to use the remaining period

Alternative: Export Your Data First

Before deleting your account, you may want to export your data:

  1. Go to Settings > Data
  2. Tap "Export Data"
  3. Choose your preferred format (CSV or Excel)
  4. Download and save your transaction history
